About Fired Up Fireplaces
Tahoe’s one-stop shop for fireplaces, stoves, & inserts—since 1985.
We Know How Cold It Gets in Tahoe
You may know us as South Y Fireplace—same team, same showroom, same number.
We know how it feels to need help with your fireplace and not know where to turn. Too many options, too much jargon, and too many companies that won’t give you a straight answer. That frustration is exactly why Fired Up Fireplaces exists.
Dan Doueck brings 25+ years of experience in the hearth industry. Our 12-person team handles everything in-house—from fireplace sales and installation to service and repair. We carry Heat & Glo, Quadra-Fire, Thelin, Blaze King, Harman, Vermont Castings, HearthStone, Flare, and many other top hearth brands. We’ve helped countless homeowners and rental property owners across the Tahoe basin keep their homes safe and warm—and we’d love to help you too.
Every home in our community should have a beautiful and reliable fireplace that provides warmth for family and friends.
What Makes Us Different
In-House Team, Start to Finish
We don’t subcontract our installs. Our 12-person crew handles the entire project—from site assessment to final walkthrough. One team, one point of contact.
One-Stop Hearth Shop
Sales, installation, and ongoing service—all under one roof. We don’t disappear after the sale.
Service & Repair for Every Brand
Diagnostics, repairs, and annual service for every brand and fuel type—even if we didn’t install yours.
Vacation Rental Specialists
We work with property managers, realtors, and large accounts across the Tahoe region. Gas inserts for rentals are our bread and butter.
Top Brands, Local Expertise
We carry Heat & Glo, Quadra-Fire, Thelin, Blaze King, Harman, Vermont Castings, HearthStone, Flare, and many others. Visit our showroom to see them burning live.
Serving 13 Communities
From South Lake Tahoe to Reno, we serve homeowners and rental owners across the CA/NV border region.
Visit the Showroom
Nothing replaces seeing a fireplace in person. Stop by, ask questions, and talk to people who’ve been doing this since before most Tahoe rentals had Wi-Fi.
